Dive into the world of 261 Fearless

261 Fearless Friends Rock the Humana Rock n’ Roll Chicago Half Marathon

I had the privilege of traveling with the 261 Fearless Friends group to Chicago to run the half marathon last weekend, and what an experience it was! Written by Demi Clark.

As a 261 Fearless Charity Runner Alumni from Boston, I’ve never experienced a “tribe” of women so strong since April.

I only knew a few of the women prior to the race weekend, so I was nervous beforehand.  Of course, the second we met Saturday to run the 5k together, it was as if we were sisters from minute one!  That’s the bond of 261 Fearless, especially the 261 Friends program (supporters & charity alumni who want to stay connected with the clubs & programming!).

Saturday was a beautiful 5k with the Chicago clubs & Kathrine joining us – also with surprise visitor Roger, Kathrine’s husband, who had a strong finish!  We all enjoyed talking about the 261 Fearless clubs & Friends program at the Expo, then grabbed dinner with alumni, 261 club Chicago Team, and 261 Club Director from San Antonio before an early bedtime. On race morning, 5am came early!  We couldn’t help but catch Kathrine’s energy, despite a rainy race day (kept it a little cooler for us!) The bands and crowds were amazing, along with support from our 261 Fearless sisters running the course.

To our 261 Fearless Friends – JOIN US & Kathrine for the next Humana Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon in San Antonio on December 2nd! You’ll be supporting new 261 Club Director Claudia Kemmerer and her runners as she presents the San Antonio club, complete with a Game Changers panel of events beginning Thursday afternoon!  For more details and to apply to run the event with us, visit the information page.
