Dive into the world of 261 Fearless

Rosy Spraker: being a 261 Charity Runner in Boston and Chicago

I still have a runner’s high from sharing the 261 Fearless Team Boston experience with 125 women, men and of course, Kathrine Switzer! I continued to ride that high by fundraising for 261 Fearless in the Humana Chicago Rock ‘n’ Roll 5K with Kathrine and fellow 261 runners. by Rosy Spraker

The weather and views along the Chicago course were amazing as were the cheering spectators and volunteers. It was great fun to post a Facebook Live video in the middle of the race!

The best part of supporting 261 Fearless is empowering women through non-competitive running clubs and a worldwide communication platform. I was so thrilled to meet members of the 261 Fearless Club Bloomington at the Chicago Expo, some of whom ran the Humana Chicago Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon as fundraisers.

I was honored to cheer for them as they crossed the finish line together with Kathrine there to give medals and hugs. I felt so grateful to hear their stories of how 261 and the comradery of the club environment changed their lives. It makes all the fundraising worth it!

For me Kathrine changed my life by inspiring me to set life-long running goals. I am happy to pay it forward, but I receive so much inspiration from these women in return.

What’s next? I plan to run the NYC Marathon and then the Humana San Antonio Rock ‘n’ Roll 5K with Kathrine. Join us for your own 261 Fearless runner’s high! #BeGrateful #TheNext50Years

Hugs,

Rosy
