Honestly, we can’t think of a better year to run Boston with 261 Fearless.

In 1967, Kathrine Switzer ran the Boston Marathon wearing bib number 261. She made history, broke barriers, and helped open the door for generations of women who came after her.

In 2027, we’ll be back in Boston celebrating 60 years since that historic run.

How cool would it be to be there with us?!!

261 Fearless is once again a proud member of the Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program, and we’re looking for runners from around the world to join our team for what is sure to be an unforgettable Boston Marathon weekend.

When you run with 261 Fearless, you’re running for more than a finish time. You’re helping us create more opportunities for women to run, connect, learn, lead, and grow through our global community.

And we’ll be right there with you along the way.

From the moment you join the team, you’ll have our support with fundraising, virtual team gatherings, team swag, and lots of opportunities to get to know your fellow teammates. You’ll also become part of the amazing 261 Fearless family – a global community of people who believe that running is just the beginning.

And this year? It’s extra special.

2027 marks 60 years since Kathrine Switzer ran Boston with bib number 261.

That little number has come to mean so much over the years. It represents courage, community, and all the women who have decided to run through whatever barriers are in their way.

Now it’s your turn to find your 261 Fearless spirit and run Boston with us.

Have a Boston bib already? Even better! We’re accepting applications from bibbed runners, too. You can join the team, be part of the celebration, and experience Boston with your 261 Fearless crew.

We welcome runners of all genders, from all around the world!

Here’s what you need to know:

Race Date: April 19, 2027

Fundraising Commitment:
$10,000 — Charity Runner
$2,261 — Bibbed Runner

60 years ago, Kathrine ran Boston with bib number 261.

60 years later, YOU could be running Boston with 261 Fearless.
