Tell Her She Can Run.

You know it’s in there, she just hasn’t found out yet. Help her see what she’s capable of and open a new world to her. Once she discovers where her feet can take her, she’ll feel capable of doing so much more in her life – far beyond running. You are the inspiration, the role model who gives her the first nudge to make it happen. As a female running coach, you truly make a difference in your local community.

Education Is Key to Empowerment.

Education provides you with the knowledge and skills you need to confidently take over new tasks, and running helps you put your skills into practice and set action. That’s why our certified women’s running coaches get the thorough, research-based, up-to-date education they need to be successful 261 Coaches. We teach about women’s health and running, leadership of women-only groups, and how to reach out to your local community. You will learn new skills, acquire knowledge, and have the opportunity to learn in a safe and secure environment – no judgement, we’ll give you the space to grow.

We have decided that income should not be a barrier to becoming a 261 Coach. Therefore, we cover the training fee for all candidates as long as they commit to completing their certification and are active 261 Coaches for at least one year.

Become Part of a Global Team and a Local Community

As a female running coach, you are part of a local 261 Club in your area. This is a local community of women, and your task is to provide a weekly one-hour Meet Run to them. A Meet Run is what we call one hour of fun with different exercises, games, and running, during which women can forget about their daily struggles and just be themselves. You lead the group in a non-competitive and non-judgemental environment – personal bests and pace don’t count. Instead, you make the group feel safe and comfortable to run. But don’t worry, you don’t need to do this all on your own. You are part of a local team and a global community of certified women’s running coaches. We all support and lift each other up, no matter where we are located in the world.

Your Chance to Become a Female Running Coach

This is your opportunity to step up and share your love for running with others. We don’t care how fast you run or how many miles you have under your belt. We are looking for enthusiastic role models ready to actively volunteer in their community. If you’re open to a new experience and ready to take on this journey, you should take the first step and apply!

Volunteering as a Certified Women’s Running Coach

Your task as a female running coach with your local 261 Club is to lead weekly Meet Runs. These one-hour sessions consist of:

  • Warm-up
  • Exercises or games with a special focus
  • Social, chatty run
  • Cool down with the entire group

Your role as the leader of these sessions is to prepare and practice the 261 Running Program, which was specially designed for non-competitive female running groups. You’ll learn more about it in our initial two-day, in-person training!

Your education as a volunteer female running coach doesn’t end here, there’s much more to it! As a certified 261 running coach, you have exclusive access to our ongoing education program where we share the latest research about women’s running, women’s leadership, and marketing.

Finally, together with your Club Director and the other 261 Coaches in your area, you’ll plan and carry out outreach and marketing activities to share the fun of a 261 Meet Run and attract more women to your group. We want to spread the joy of running and you play an essential part in this!
