LIFTING EACH OTHER UP – TO RUN!

A DREAM-TEAM

261 Fearless believes in empowering women of all backgrounds through running and education. The four 261 Coaches that lead the Viennese meet run for 261 Club Austria, are a great example. These amazing women, from Austria, Syria, and Afghanistan, are role-models to the members of the club, and are breaking down barriers of language and culture by working together for a common goal: Motivating women to run!

ENCOURAGING EACH OTHER TO RUN

The impact of the diverse meet run is astonishing! Members of 261 Club Austria are improving their language skills (German, Farsi, Arabic and much more), understanding other cultures better, becoming friends with women of different backgrounds, and RUNNING together! For some of the women, it is impossible for them to run on the streets in their home countries. But in Vienna, they dared to take their first running steps with 261 Fearless. The group encourages each other, the 261 Coaches create a positive atmosphere, and all of a sudden, the feet seem to run by themselves! The women have become stronger and continue to build their self-esteem along their journey. Some have stepped-up to become 261 Coaches themselves, such as Marzia. Running had a powerful effect on her:

“The 261 Club meet run helps me to forget about stress at home and running makes me feel strong!”

261 Coach Marzia from Afghanistan

261 Coaches all around the world are leaders in their communities. Do you want to share your passion for running with other women? Do you want to step up and be a leader in your community?

How Muscles Work During Speed —The Science of Fast Movement

Speed is not just effort. It’s neuromuscular precision. Every fast movement — sprinting, jumping, quick direction changes —  depends on how efficiently your muscles and nervous system work together. The Brain Starts the Movement Speed begins in the nervous system. When you move quickly, your brain sends rapid electrical signals to your muscles. The faster and more coordinated…
