Next Stop: The TCS New York City Marathon

Our seventeen member team includes runners from around the globe, each with a deep belief in the powerful, transformative magic of running. The money they raise on their journey to the Big Apple, will help 261 Fearless educate women to step into their power and become leaders in their local communities through running.

And they are getting quite creative with their fundraising efforts! Some are hosting wine tastings and asking donors to sponsor songs on their marathon playlist, while others have stepped back in time with a #PrehistoricPaddle, raising over $1,000 in just two weeks!

We can’t wait to meet up with everyone in NYC for what is certain to be an epic day to remember! Be sure to follow us on social media to stay up to date on this and all our future charity teams.

How Muscles Work During Speed —The Science of Fast Movement

Speed is not just effort. It’s neuromuscular precision. Every fast movement — sprinting, jumping, quick direction changes —  depends on how efficiently your muscles and nervous system work together. The Brain Starts the Movement Speed begins in the nervous system. When you move quickly, your brain sends rapid electrical signals to your muscles. The faster and more coordinated…
