Dive into the world of 261 Fearless

Feedback from 261 Club members

We asked the 261 Club members what they think about their local club and this is what they said about their weekly Meet Runs and community.

Your club feels welcoming, accepting, and non-judgmental - I appreciate everything. The casual atmosphere is also a plus. Thank you!

Being part of 261 Fearless is a major part of my life that provides community and helps with my physical and mental health. It is a life-changing motivator for me to connect with the women in the club.

One thing I am grateful for is that I work as a teacher, and I can just turn up and be taught and be ‘me’, not a teacher on Saturday run meet days.

These are the voices of our global 261 Club members who shared their feedback in our annual Club member survey. We are more than grateful for the overwhelming positive responses and are deeply moved by how the Club members become strong and fearless through the weekly Meet Runs.

Find out what the survey tells us in this overview:

The age distribution in the local clubs is very mixed, that’s what the survey confirms. 27 % of club members globally are between 41-50 years, 29 % between 51-60 and 24 % are 50 years or older. The oldest members are in their 70s (3 %) whereas the youngest are in their 20s (5 %).

Most of the club members join the regular Meet Runs because they appreciate the motivation they draw from it (97 %) and the community of women (86 %) as well as the group support (77 %). The women really appreciate the new friends they found in the Meet Runs (70 %), taking a break from daily life (54 %) and being part of a women-only group (53 %).

Participating regularly in the Meet Runs cascades to a positive effect on the women’s health. 61 % spend more than 2.5 hours a week on exercise and an additional 12 % between 1.5 and 2 hours, which is the amount of exercise recommended by the WHO to maintain good health.

Having the motivation to exercise regularly 74 % of local club members rate their fitness level as good or very good. 85 % rate their physical and mental health as good or very good and 71% rate their resilience as good or very good.

We are proud to hear such positive feedback and to see the positive effect on women’s physical, mental and social health. We deeply appreciate what the 261 Club leaders do to bring the 261 Fearless mission to life in their local communities and can’t wait to continue to become fearless through running!
