Juliet, one of our Directors recently headed to New York to represent 261 Club UK at the 261 Fearless Club Director Summit.
The event was kindly hosted by our partner Peloton at their headquarters in central New York. The venue was incredible with views of the Empire State Building from the terrace.
Club Directors came from all around the world including Ecuador, Chile, Austria and the USA. The summit was packed full with both theory and practical elements. Lots of group work allowed the Club Directors to get to know each other, share their learnings and make plans for the future.
Co-founder and CEO Edith Zuschmann was leading the summit alongside team members from 261 Fearless Inc. Kathrine Switzer also visited to spend time with the Club Directors and share her personal journey of empowerment and vision for the future.
Everyone was treated to a visit to the Peloton Studios NYC for a live class. They were also treated to a reception at the Harvard Club courtesy of Board Member Barry Lites. There was more running with a joint run along the Hudson River with Girls Run NYC too.
‘There was an incredible feeling of togetherness at the summit. Running a non-profit can be a very challenging task but knowing you are alongside others who are doing the same thing is very encouraging and reassuring’ said Juliet. ‘it was such an honour to be with these incredible women. We shared a very special time at this summit and all left truly feeling part of a global team making the world a better place for women’.
