2020 Marine Corps Marathon Virtual Events

Terms and Conditions for participation with 261 Fearless in the 2020 Marine Corps Marathon - Virtual Events

The Applicant desires to participate on the 261 Fearless Team in the 2020 Marine Corps Marathon virtual Events (i.e., Semper Fun Mile, 10K, Marathon, or 50K) to be at the location of the Applicant's choice, anytime from October 1, 2020 through November 10, 2020. Applicant hereby acknowledges and agrees that registration as a member of the 261 Fearless Team will be subject to confirmation of acceptance and approval of this application. The Marathon and/or 10K bib must be secured before applying to the 261 Fearless Team MCM 2020.

Fundraising Commitment: If the Applicant is accepted to the Team, the applicant must raise a minimum of US$ 261. The fundraising minimum of US$ 261 must be received by 261 Fearless Inc. by November 10, 2020. If the applicant has not reached the minimum in fundraising by that date, she/he will personally be responsible for the balance owed. 261 Fearless Inc. reserves the right to charge the balance owed to the Applicant's credit card, net of credit card fees. The Applicant Credit Card is required to be on file with 261 Fearless, Inc.

Further Commitment: Our Charity Runners are not only ambassadors for 261 Fearless, but also role models. As a 261 Fearless Charity Runner - raising funds and awareness for the 261 mission - this is the perfect opportunity to inspire a woman you know who wants to return to running or take her very first step as a runner. We ask you to introduce a family member, friend or colleague to a local 261 Fearless Club.

Applicants are responsible for their own entry fee, paid directly to the Marine Corps Marathon. 2020 Entry Fees

US$ 20.00 + processing fees for the Semper Fun Mile or

US$ 33.00 + processing fees for the 10K or

US$ 45.00 + processing fees for the Marathon

or US$ 45.00 + processing fees for the 50K

Release and Contribution Commitment: Applicant hereby waives and releases any and all claims for damages Applicant may have against 261 Fearless Inc. and its employees, volunteers, consultants and product sponsors and partners for any and all injuries suffered or sustained by Applicant which are in any way related to the race, including, without limitation, resulting and/or related to training, planning sessions and travel. Applicant hereby agrees that the foregoing release shall apply to and be binding upon Applicant’s heirs, executors, administrators and legal representatives. Applicant further attests and certifies that Applicant is physically fit and will have sufficiently trained for the Race and that, at a reasonable time prior to the Race, Applicant’s qualified medical doctor shall verify to Applicant that his/her physical condition is suitable for participation in the Race.

Release of Image for PR: Applicant grants permission for use of Applicant’s name, likeness, image, voice, and/or appearance as such may be embodied in any pictures, photos, video recordings, social media postings, digital images, and the like, concerning Applicant’s participation in Team 261 Fearless, without compensation. Applicant understands and agrees that any content described in the aforementioned sentence may or may not contain attributions specifically identifying Applicant or any of Applicant’s property.

Applicant declares that Applicant has exercised his/her own judgment in signing this agreement and Applicant further declares that the decision to accept the Terms and Conditions to apply was voluntary and not based on or influenced by any representation of 261 Fearless, Inc.
