2020 TCS New York City Marathon

261 Fearless Charity Team in the TCS New York City Marathon – November 1, 2020

261 Fearless, Inc. (“261 Fearless”), has been granted by the New York Road Runners (“NYRR”), a limited number of charity bibs for the 2020 TCS New York City Marathon® to be used exclusively for charitable fundraising purposes. 261 Fearless follows all official Charity rules of the NYRR.

We are seeking applicants for 261 Fearless Charity Team NYC 2020: Women and men who are passionate about our cause – empowering women through running!

Our 261 family is growing around the world – and at the heart of our family is our local Club Network, where women gather each week to run and be fearless together.

Our Charity Runners are an integral part of our extended family. For our women Charity Runners, if there is a club close to you, please join us for a 261 Club meetrun so you can experience the fun of social running! For our male charity runners and those without a local Club, please tell your female friends and family members about 261 Clubs and encourage them to join a local Club if one is nearby. We’d love to meet them!

We are looking forward to receiving your application and getting to know you!

A minimum fundraising requirement of US$ 4,000 is assigned to each individual receiving a charity bib to participate with the 261 Fearless Charity Team and is to be raised through his/her own individual fundraising efforts. (US$ 1,800 for runners already holding a bib for the 2020 Marathon). Funds raised by the Charity Team members benefit 261 Fearless Inc. global and local programs and services.

Our Charity Runners are not only ambassadors for 261 Fearless, but also role models. As a 261 Fearless Charity Runner - raising funds and awareness for the 261 mission - this is the perfect opportunity to inspire a woman you know who wants to return to running or take her very first step as a runner.  We ask you to introduce a family member, friend or colleague to a 261 Fearless Club. A welcoming community of women and certified 261 Coaches will help her find the joy in running. Do you know a local woman who would benefit from Fearless social and non-competitive running? Put her in touch with on of our local 261 Clubs!

By completing this application, you agree to the Terms and Conditions. Completing the application and paying the registration fee does not guarantee a spot on the 261 Fearless Charity Team.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all available bibs have been assigned.

Fundraising Experience

If yes, what was the most recent charity/race?

What is the most substantial amount of money you have raised for a non-profit organization (this does not need to be a marathon/road race program)?

How did you accomplish this?

If you are a member of our team, what will your personal fundraising goal be? (Minimum required is US$ 4,000, but we encourage members of Team 261 Fearless with a qualifying bib to aim to raise US$ 6,000, Runners with bib already – minimum required is US$ 1,800)

Do you think your employer/company might be interested in sponsoring Team 261 Fearless?

What is your plan for reaching or surpassing this goal? Please let us know some of the specific actions you intend to take. We will provide all the support we can, but we also want to see that you have put some thought into how you will reach your personal goal.

Outside of your friends and family, what networks (i.e. professional organizations, school associations, online networks, alumni networks, parent networks, etc.) of which you are a member do you plan to tap into in order to raise funds and awareness about your participation on Team 261 Fearless?
