Ten years ago, in 2012, Edith Zuschmann founded the very first 261 Club in Klagenfurt, Austria. She found that many women around her were afraid to run and lead an active lifestyle. Therefore, she wanted to encourage women to take the first step and run in a non-competitive, non-judgemental environment – the first 261 Club Meet Run was born. Together with other fearless women, she founded the local non-profit in Austria which then spread and grew into a global non-profit organization active in 12 countries.
