Invigorating Times for 261 Fearless UK!

It’s been an exciting few months for 261 Fearless in the UK. Clubs are growing, new clubs have started and exciting partnerships formed. Here’s Dr Juliet McGrattan's quick round up of all the highlights.

December saw the official launch of 261 Fearless Club UK. Up to this point our 261 clubs in the UK have been operating independently but with the formation of this community interest company, all the clubs are now united and working together as a social enterprise. This is really something to celebrate! The event was held at the Adidas Women’s Studios in London and guests got the chance to experience a taster run session before listening to a presentation all about our mission and of course joining us for canapés, cake and fizz.

261 Fearless Club UK is proud to announce that Go Faster Food are our Healthy Eating Partner. They will be supplying us with race day fuel and inspiring us with recipes and tips to keep our women healthy and active. We’re really excited about this as we love their passion for normal, nutritious food for an active life.

We are also delighted to have the Women Can Marathon and Relay as an official race partner. We partnered with this women-only event in Devon last year and experienced first-hand what a welcoming atmosphere it was and how women of all abilities were celebrated and encouraged. We can’t wait for the 27th May when we will be running with a very international team of 261 Fearless runners. Let us know if you want to join us!

Our clubs in Greenwich, Lune Valley are thriving. Our newest club in Burwell, Cambridgeshire launched just before Christmas and our coaches Gill and Alice are doing an amazing job introducing women in their community to the special 261 spirit!

We are super excited to announce our first club in Scotland! Carol will be leading 261 Club Inverurie, near Aberdeen and the first session is the 24th January. She has created a buzz with local media coverage and lots of interest so we wish her the best of luck. We know she is totally fearless and her members will be well looked after.

Finally, we are looking forward to our next UK Train the Trainer event in Manchester on the 23rd to the 25th of February. If you would like to join 261 Fearless Club UK by starting a club in your local area, then we’d love to hear from you. You can find out more and apply by clicking on the Join 261 – Clubs tab at the top of the page.

Hold on to your hats, lace up your trainers and take a deep breath - 2018 is going to be an exciting run for 261 Fearless Club UK!
