Dive into the world of 261 Fearless

The 261 Fearless Game Changers - a review

The 261 documentary - powered by adidas - has come to an end, but the 261 Fearless Game Changers have just started!

Each of our Game Changers has started a journey full of ups and downs that finally led to establishing a new 261 Club in their area. Now they share their impressions and experiences during the past six months with us.

Greta, Milano/Italy

How did you experience being part of the 261 documentary?

It has been a fantastic experience. I enjoyed every single moment, even if making videos and being in front of a camera is not in my DNA. Because of my role of PR and Press Office I use to be behind the scene and make the direction of works. But it was fun.

How did you feel when it started and how did your feeling change during these 6 months?

At the beginning I was literally terrified. I thought “I will never be able to do this!” But then after the first couple of times, I felt more natural and amused. Making videos speaking about my experience and my ladies helped me to have a clearer idea about my steps and what to do to improve. I adored to see videos of my partners around the world and see how they move on with the project.

What kind of feedback did you get in your community about your new role?

My ladies were excited and happy to be part of the project and supported me in every situation. They felt part of something great and very important. My friends and colleagues admired me and saw me as a courageous pioneer to start this adventure, they try to help me as soon as they can to advertise and promote my 261fearless club. Also, my parents are very proud of me, but they don’t tell me because they don’t want to let this go to my head :-D

How did the support you experienced from the other 261 Coaches help you to succeed?

Support gives me confidence and power to go on with the project, also when I would give up because nobody, or just one or two people attend the training.

What was your most precious moment during the documentary?

The interviews with three exponents of my group. Hearing their feelings and the benefits after the training. It was really touching, and I felt that I’m doing the right thing.

Is there anything else you want to tell us about the last 6 months and your 261 Fearless experience?

Nothing in particular. Only that I’m happy to be part of this global project and of this community.

Prudence, Goma/Democratic Republic of Congo

How did you experience being part of the 261 documentary?

For me it was a big pleasure and a success to be part of the 261 Fearless documentary after participating at Train the Trainer in Germany together with an international team of new Coaches.

How did you feel when it started and how did your feeling change during these 6 months?

At the beginning I was happy and a bit afraid… actually very scared. After the second video I understood that I just had to let it happen and follow the instructions.

What kind of feedback did you get in your community about your new role?

In my community I feel more respected and encouraged by everybody - I am really flattered by their appreciation.

How did the support you experienced from the other 261 Coaches help you to succeed?

I felt that the support of the other 261 Coaches helped me to achieve a lot of things: the education program, my behaviour in the Club, the written tasks and the videos and to improve my role and my responsibility.

What was your most precious moment during the documentary?

The most precious moment was when we spoke about the role as a Coach and the cultural implications that come with it during Train the Trainer.

Is there anything else you want to tell us about the last 6 months and your 261 Fearless experience?

I can only add that these 6 months of hard work and my experience with 261 Fearless is amazing and I want to congratulate all members. You sent us a lot of love over the big distance. I also want to thank Christina who helped us interpreting and translating so that we could have conversations and work together. Also, I want to thank Michela, who helped us on the spot. Right now, the presidential elections have just been held in DRC and we are waiting for the result with fear. May God be with us and help the situation to improve. Thank you for your thoughts!

Sylvie, Goma/Democratic Republic of Congo

How did you experience being part of the 261 documentary?

For me it was a very beneficial experience to be part of the 261 documentary, it helped me especially in my personal development. I thought I wasn’t able to do this, but I made it and discovered new abilities.

How did you feel when it started and how did your feeling change during these 6 months?

First of all, when I saw the first episode, I was a bit scared - I wondered if what I said was ok, if I made any mistakes in the interview, etc. But after a while that didn’t matter anymore, because I wanted to share my experience with running with the world. That’s why I could overcome my fear and move forward. That’s how it changed for me.

What kind of feedback did you get in your community about your new role?

In my community everybody encouraged me, my friends followed me on Facebook and I got a lot of feedback. One of my friends is in Germany and when she travelled to Goma she asked me why I don’t wear shoes during the exercises. That clearly showed that people follow me. Also, in my work as humanitarian associate I receive a lot of feedback.

How did the support you experienced from the other 261 Coaches help you to succeed?

Yes, with the help of the 261 Coaches I received inspiration when I followed them on Facebook. I could see how they build up their Club and that gives support. Also, our reunions on Skype were very encouraging for me!

Tasneem, Mumbay/India

How did you experience being part of the 261 documentary?

Like I always say, I must have done something right until now to have got this opportunity. It's been such a great experience and I don't think any words would do justice to what I felt being part of the 261 documentary. I never thought that I would be confident enough to face the camera, but this chance made me realize that nothing is impossible. Through this experience, I met very powerful and goal-oriented women who motivated me to aim higher and this is something I will never forget.

How did you feel when it started and how did your feeling change during these 6 months?

I was surely nervous at the start, there were a lot of expectations and I wanted to live up to those. In India, starting a running club isn't easy, most women yet don't see why this is necessary and even more than that running/fitness is not for them. To change this social stigma was a daunting thought but 261 and all its members helped me face these challenges. Now if I look back, I feel like I have come a long way - establishing the first club in India, getting women on the field, spreading awareness and much more. There is yet a lot to achieve and do and I look forward to that.

What kind of feedback did you get in your community about your new role?

I never in my wildest dreams thought that soo many women would show up on the first day when we started the club here in Mumbai, India. From that day onwards, there was no looking back. All the women who come to our club get soo much enthusiasm and vigor with them that this is bound to attract more women and, in the end, motivate and inspire one another. I'm just so glad that all the women enjoy themselves and want to come back every week.

How did the support you experienced from the other 261 Coaches help you to succeed?

Through this documentary, it was lovely and at the same time inspiring to see the growth, strength, and encouragement that each woman would share. All these women made me more confident and any time I faced any challenge I knew I could just reach out to them. This feeling of knowing that someone has your back is what helped me succeed.

What was your most precious moment during the documentary?

Undoubtedly, the most precious memory is when I took the interview of the women that come to the club. The feelings that they shared made me feel like all this that I am doing is making a positive difference and that I can impact and motivate soo many more women through 261.

Is there anything else you want to tell us about the last 6 months and your 261 Fearless experience?

UNBELIEVABLE. I yet feel like I was part of a dream.

Christina, Vienna/Austria

How did you experience being part of the 261 documentary?

I’m very thankful to be part of this project! It was a great experience for myself, I learned a lot and did something completely new and different (like standing in front of a camera). However, the 261 documentary was not only inspiring for me on a personal level, but also helped to spread the word about 261 Fearless. It showed women what 261 Fearless is about and how powerful running is.

How did you feel when it started and how did your feeling change during these 6 months?

In the beginning, I thought it was a bit ironic that I was chosen to be part of the 261 documentary. I am the one who travels to a foreign country and comes back with one picture in very bad quality. Honestly, I am not a big photographer. So, I couldn’t quite imagine myself standing in front of the camera and taping videos - but I did it and it worked out fine! With every episode I felt more comfortable and it became easier to do it.

What kind of feedback did you get in your community about your new role?

The feedback was very positive! My friends were fascinated and thrilled by the project in Vienna and the other women in their countries. It’s great to see how enthusiastic they are about it.

How did the support you experienced from the other 261 Coaches help you to succeed?

First of all, it was wonderful to meet Greta, Mimosa, Sylvie, Prudence and Tasneem in Herzogenaurach 7 months ago. It was very inspiring to speak to them about their experiences and lives even before the project had started - they are 5 strong women! During the 261 documentary we had regular Skype calls and that really helped to boost my motivation. Seeing their projects evolve and grow helped me to believe in mine here in Vienna.

What was your most precious moment during the documentary?

The most precious moment of the 261 documentary was the interview with two of the members. For the first time, I could see that the meet run did make a change in their lives! I felt so proud of them and so touched by their words - an indescribable feeling!

Is there anything else you want to tell us about the last 6 months and your 261 Fearless experience?

Only one thing: Thank you to everybody who worked on this project and supported us!

Mimoza, Tirana/Albania

How did you experience being part of the 261 documentary?

Being part of 261 documentary has been one of the most unique experiences in my whole life. At first, I have no idea what exactly it was. It has started as my hobby for running and now it is part of my life that I enjoy so much.

How did you feel when it started and how did your feeling change during these 6 months?

To be honest there were just a few of the things that run through my mind about our group in Tirana that creates a lot of fear and anxiety. But things came so naturally, including drills and running games from the Core which members enjoy running and having fun during our meet run. This builds strength and encouraging to me. I would like to highlight that wearing 261 on my back in our meet run, makes me feel fearless. And with passing of time I gained so much self-belief and self-confidence.

What kind of feedback did you get in your community about your new role?

Women in my club already know me and the reason was I was in Germany, so I was welcome by them but anyway it came as a challenge to do my best in leading them. Bruna the other coach was a great support. It's so inspiring to see women happy and excited at the end of our meet run.  In additional to that the good comments that I got from launching of the first episode of the 261 Fearless Documentary, gave me trust to carry out my responsibilities to my new role.

How did the support you experienced from the other 261 Coaches help you to succeed?

Well, the experiences I gained from other 261 coaches helped me broaden my own awareness about my role as a coach. I was enriched with lot of knowledge about the drills and games. We are a small group, but Edith Zuschmann and Juliet were always there to support us and gave idea on how to be open to the public and becoming known by the other women.

What was your most precious moment during the documentary?

Well, the most precious moment?? A difficult question as every moment was unique. I would like to mention the moment when  we visited the Adidas headquarters it was with lot of emotions , interviewing the other members of my club

Is there anything else you want to tell us about the last 6 months and your 261 Fearless experience?

Over the last six months help me to learn and practice myself on how to do different drills and games, how to be in front of camera (honestly it was the first time to do that), how to interview the other members of my club … But mostly I learned how to help myself and the other women to be fearless.  There are a lot of to do in the future, but I feel fearless and that's thank you to 261 Fearless.
